I was going to be on an Allegiant air flight, but the flight was cancelled an hour before takeoff. Apparently a staff shortage caused this problem. Even without anyone aboard, they managed to get the plane to its destination. This is completely illogical since they did provide a hotel stay or a connection on a different aircraft or airline.
