  • The Same-Day flight changes can be used easily while traveling with Delta airlines in the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands. It cannot be seen on international flights.
  • You may submit an adjustment to your initial flight on the same day within 24 hours before the time of departure, but only on flights leaving on the same day of departure.
  • You can change your cabin’s higher fare as long as a seat is available in the cabin you ordered, or a lower cabin, as long as it is a premium cabin fare such as Delta One® or First Class.
  • You should make a Same-Day verified adjustment while you are traveling to Delta Comfort+ when a seat is accessible in Delta Comfort+.
  • If a Delta Comfort+ seat does not exist, you will be eligible to make a confirmation of the same day on a main cabin seat, if available
  • Changes in origin and/or destination for the Same Day verified shift are not available.
  • Same day Improvements are not allowed from connecting to non-stop flights.

Same-Day Standby flight eligibility:

  • Standby Day is valid only if it is not available on the same day confirmed.
  • You may submit an adjustment to your initial flight on the same day within 24 hours before the time of departure, but only on flights leaving on the same day of departure.
  • Silver Medallion Members, General SkyMiles Members, can only fly on their initial flight on the same day as Standby option.
  • Diamond, Silver, and Gold Medallion Members will stand on their original flight anywhere on the same day.
  • Simple Economy fares (E) do not count for travel adjustments on the same day.
  • You will use the Same Day Standby option to fly in Delta and Delta Link in the US, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. It cannot be seen on international flights.
  • The Same-Day Standby cannot be used to render origin and/or destination shifts.
  • It’s official to remember that there are no Same-Day Standby improvements to the same town/common terminals for the Platinum and Diamond Medallions members (such as LaGuardia Airport at John F. Kennedy airport).
