When our flight was cancelled, my college group and I enjoyed a fantastic holiday. We received free tour passes, a rental car, and a restroom from Southwest Airlines. Although it can be challenging, Southwest Airlines customer service is good. We thought that the time spent organising the trip and the thousands of dollars they lost as a result of their error. But they managed to get us on a connecting flight, which allowed us to resume enjoying our holiday even if our trip ultimately amounted to little more than a miserable stay at home.

I think Southwest Airlines is completely childish, and I detest their refund and cancellation rules. I made a travel reservation late in 2022 before Thanksgiving that I ultimately had to cancel. I paid cancellation fees of about $90 and received a refund of $549 even though my vacation was five months away. But I accepted the penalty. I sat there with my credit card in hand and used it once again to pay for an additional flight. Direct flight in the morning; nothing to worry about. All right, but when my new flight was cancelled, Southwest Airlines automatically rebooked me on the next flight that was available. This was terrible because the next flight was also delayed for more than three hours, leaving me stranded at the JFK airport late at night without being reimbursed for the delay. Nothing is provided. Such an awful airline!

When Southwest Airlines cancels flights and substitutes an uncomfortable flight, I think that passengers should have the option to reroute their tickets. Avoid allowing Southwest Airlines to pressure you into accepting their inconvenient offerings.
